About the Role
The People Development & Coaching (PD&C) department is responsible for identifying and addressing the training needs of Spellman High Voltage employees by partnering with sites and functions to develop programs, systems, resources, and solutions for the global organization.
What You Will Do
As an intern, you will work with the PD&C team and contribute to ongoing learning and development initiatives. In this role, you will:
- Collaborate on instructional design, digital learning, or organizational development projects.
- Use Microsoft Excel to organize, format, and prepare historical training records for mass data migration projects.
- Gain exposure and experience working with the design, testing, and implementation of new Learning and Development systems, processes, and programs.
- Support the content creation and deployment of new training.
- Assist with collecting, tracking, and managing employee and training records for departmental projects and KPI metrics.
What You Need
- Current undergraduate or graduate student
- Academic background in psychology, instructional design, education, computer science, business administration, economics, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Technologically advanced fast learner interested in new systems and technologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with training development or facilitation
- Exposure to Workday Learning or other learning management systems
- Experience with databases/data tracking
- HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems): Interest in or experience with systems used to manage employee data, performance, and learning records
- Familiarity with and/or interest in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Learning and Development, and Training concepts
Program Duration
- 3 to 6 months
- 20-40 hrs. per week
- Program Start: June 2025
Compensation & Work Format
- Our good faith estimated wage range for this position is $20 - $25. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors
- This position is not benefits eligible
- Remote/Hybrid (NY based only)
