Summary
Responsibilities
- Support and assist in coordinating quality and continuous improvement projects, including helping develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables
- Participate in and help document cross-functional sessions (e.g., FMEA, lessons learned, process improvement discussions)
- Track project milestones, action items, and risks, and assist with status reporting to stakeholders
- Support Quality Management System (QMS) documentation updates and control
- Assist with tracking nonconformance reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs)
- Contribute to audit preparation and support internal/external audits (AS9100D / ISO 9001)
- Help with data collection, analysis, and reporting using Excel, SharePoint, and Power BI
- Collaborate with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering teams on project-related activities
Required qualifications
- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related STEM field
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with SharePoint or Power BI is a plus
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a hands-on environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to work on-site in the New Orleans area for the duration of the internship
- Real-world project leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to industry quality standards and audit processes
- Hands-on experience working with cross-functional engineering teams
