We are looking for an intern to join the InfoSec group. Reporting to the Manager, Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance, the intern will work closely with various internal partners to support the day-to-day activities of the department. You will be mentored by our managers and analysts who will guide you throughout your internship to help you acquire practical and theoretical skills in this field.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the development of information security framework, which includes policies, standards, guidelines, processes and procedures.

• Collaborates with various departments to conduct information security risk assessments activities, such as risk assessments, third-party vendor risk assessments, contract reviews, document risk exceptions  with support from the team.

• Perform annual reassessment of compliance of critical vendors.

• Maintains the risk register and performs follow ups on risk exceptions and findings.

• Supports information security team

• Participate in verifying the compliance to the information security framework.

ACADEMIC TRAINING

• Background in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)

SKILLS:

• You are able to work independently on a daily basis.

• You are rigorous in your work and have strong writing skills.

• You are a team player and enjoy collaborating with others.

• You act with precision and method.

• Fluency in spoken and written French and English is preferred, as Cogeco operates in both Quebec and Ontario.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is a full-time, long-term internship opportunity, with the internship lasting 8-10 months. During this period, you will have the chance to gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to key projects within our team.
