Job Description:
Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a college intern for the Human Resources department at our Fab 4 facility in Gresham, Oregon. This internship will provide real world insight into the functions and processes of Human Resources management including recruitment, administration and compliance.
This is a paid, part-time internship requiring a commitment of approximately 15-20 hours per week.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Assist with onboarding of new hires, including processing new hire paperwork and filing
Assist with recruiting coordination, including phone screening and proctoring applicant testing sessions
Assist with scheduling and confirming candidate interviews
Interface with HRIS platform Workday, including data entry and uploading personnel documents
Create new hire orientation and benefit packets
Maintain file room and update documents as necessary
Represent Microchip at career fairs and local events
Other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be actively enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree program
Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Consistent and reliable attendance
Professional and dependable
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Keen attention to detail and organization
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
Comfort interacting with employees and stakeholders of all levels
