This role is part of Philips Horticulture LED solutions, vertical/indoor farming, responsible for the execution of indoor growth trials in our own GrowWise Research Center in Eindhoven [NL], aimed to help customers across the globe making the most of their indoor growing installations and developing new 'light recipes' .
Its responsibilities are at the heart of food security, so aspiring for support doing high quality plant growth trials under LED in completely controlled environments must be in your DNA.

Together we can…
· Design a series of indoor growth trials together with supervisor
· Plan and execute trials: preparations, cleaning, sowing, monitoring, harvesting, collecting data, presenting and writing a report.
· Support in trials from other students and plant specialists
You are…
· a horticulture / applied biology student who is eager to learn all about plant trials and technology
· Proactive and independent student and a good communicator
· Able to work on your own, while part of a bigger team.
· Finalizing a Bachelor or greenhouse horticulture or applied biology (3rd /4th year)
-Available for 6 months or more

- EU students: To be considered for this internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation of this may be requested at any time.
- Non-EU students in Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student, and your university needs to sign the Nuffic Agreement. The internship needs to be a compulsory part of your studies (receive ECTS in turn). In case of non-compulsory internship, you need to have a letter from the university in which it states that your internship contributes to your personal development, what your learning goals are, and what tasks you will undertake during your internship. The letter has to be signed and stamped by your university.

Skills Required
- Enrolled horticulture or applied biology student (Bachelor, 3rd/4th year)
- Available for a 6-month internship or longer
- Ability to design, plan and execute indoor plant growth trials
- Experience or strong interest in controlled-environment/indoor growing under LED
- Hands-on tasks: cleaning, sowing, monitoring, harvesting, data collection and reporting
- Proactive, independent, and good communication skills; able to work independently and in a team
- Registered as a student for the entire internship period (EU students)
- Non-EU students: university must sign Nuffic Agreement and internship must be compulsory or have an approved university letter (signed and stamped)
