About the Team
The6ix team is currently on a journey to complete a test automation and observation tool to validate and monitor the full credit card onboarding experience from customer application submissions to account onboarding in TSYS. We aim to transform the way we build software through automation; automate everything but the creative problem solving in building software.
About the Role
As an engineer on The6ix team you will be focusing on building and maintaining robust automation tests using Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript, experience working with AWS cloud resources, monitoring tools, and CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins. Learn to build quality and reliable applications by leveraging automated testing and observability.

• IDE: IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code
• Language: NodeJS, TypeScript, Golang
• AWS: Fargate , Lambda, S3, Route53, Security Groups, IAM roles
• Monitoring Tool: Observe, Cloudwatch
• CI/CD: Jenkins

Your Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product Partners and other software engineering teams to produce quality software
• Learn about the credit acquisitions business domain
• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automation tests for UI and backend microservices using Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Learn to mock different application responses to validate API services
• Leverage AWS services to support test automation and infrastructure.
• Integrate monitoring tools like Observe to track application performance and detect issues.
• Analyze logs and metrics to identify and resolve test failures or system bottlenecks.
• Set up alerts and dashboards to ensure system reliability and reporting.
• Technical Documentation to guide users on best practices and tech excellence.
• Have fun with the team

Basic Qualifications:

• Will obtain a Bachelor's degree or higher from January 2026 or later
• Familiarity with application development using any backend programming language, and JavaScript.
• Good communication, presentation, and writing skills
• Good understanding of testing fundamentals
• Able to work within a team setting and actively participate and collaborate in team discussion

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with backend technologies such as JavaScript, AWS.
• Experience with version control technology i.e. Git
• Experience with Jenkins CI/CD, microservices, API design / integration
