About the Team
As a member of the The-CIA Team, you'll join a diverse group of engineers who are responsible for Capital One's Financial Product Creditkeeper serving both Capital one customer and all Canadians with Credit related information.
About the Role
You will collaborate closely with backend engineers to build a nightly batch service that will update Customer's credit score from our vendor partners which can scale resiliently to accommodate growing customer base of Creditkeeper, using Lambda, SQS and Eventbridge. Integrate automated Performance Testing Capability in the CICD pipeline to increase application robustness.
In this role, you'll engage with various technology layers and collaborate with external teams in Capital One and help us to deliver with engineering excellence. Your responsibilities will include infrastructure development, testing (unit, component, integration and performance testing), deployment, monitoring, and addressing cybersecurity and vulnerability concerns.

- Monitoring Tools and Framework: Splunk, New Relic and OTEL
- Testing Tools and Framework: MockitoJUnitRunner and JMeter
Your Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle
- Collaborate with architects to implement enhancements or new applications
- Develop features meeting acceptance criteria
- Conduct design and code reviews to ensure high-level quality output
- Ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality, and time to market imperatives
- Maintain records to document program development, and revisions

Basic Qualifications:
- Will obtain a Bachelor's degree or higher from January 2026 or later
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Experience with any of the following programming languages and tools - Java, Go
- Familiarity with the AWS
- Good understanding of Performance testing Fundamentals
- Curiosity and desire to innovate and challenge the status quo
- Able to work within a team setting and actively participate and collaborate in team discussions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Experience with databases and datastores like Postgres, Snowflake, S3
- Experience with Java programming in enterprise environments
- Experience with Jenkins CI/CD, API design / integration
- Experience with version control technology i.e. Git
