Intern - Firmware Engineering

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Firmware development team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the developing and testing of cutting-edge automotive SSC products. You will support FW development engineers in a wide range of technical and operational tasks to ensure our FW development processes run smoothly and efficiently. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Participate in code development for Renesas Automotive SSC products. 

• Bugfixing and performing of unit tests  

• Code reviews , and code changes to comply with the latest safety standards. 

• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline test processes – Gitlab and Python 

• Ongoing studies in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field 

• Experience with programming microcontrollers in C/C++ programming language 

• Ability to read and understand PCB schematics 

• Basic knowledge of electronics, components, and PCB handling 

• Familiarity with a scripting language or willingness to learn it (Python preferred) 

• Experience with Linux bash scripts is considered and advantage 

• Hands-on experience or willingness to learn soldering and basic lab instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies...) 

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude 

• Availability for at least 6 months (12 months preferred)
