What we are looking for

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Intern in Downstream Processes to join our innovative team. This intern will play a vital role in optimising our processes for the purification and analysis of key functional ingredients. You will gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge start-up lab environment while contributing to our mission to improve infant and specialised nutrition.

Key responsibilities
  • Participate in the development and optimisation of purification and separation processes (chromatography, membrane filtration, precipitation, etc.).
  • Perform clarification, concentration, and formulation steps.
  • Contribute to product characterisation using biochemical assays (SDS-PAGE, ELISA, Enzymatic assays…).
  • Support scale-up activities from lab to pilot scale.
  • Document experimental work and contribute to R&D reports.

As a junior member in a small startup your responsibilities will also span lab management, lab duties and helping other team members and more specifically our lab manager Julie in day to day operations!


Requirements
  • Pursuing an Engineering Degree in biological sciences, bioprocessing, chemical engineering, or a related field, or a specialised university master degree in chromatography, or other DSP technique
  • Prior experience in downstream processing or bioprocess development is a plus
  • Currently enrolled in a School/University in which the internship is part of the curriculum (has access to "Convention de Stage")
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques such as chromatography, filtration, and other separation methods is advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret experimental data effectively
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while being proactive and self-motivated

Process
  • We first check that your skills match the expectations
  • First technical fit interview with someone from the team
  • Second technical case discussion with the DSP department
  • Last fit interview with our CTO Eugénie or CEO Eden (on-site if possible), and meet part of the team, visit the labs & office
