Job Summary
We currently have an opportunity for a Summer 2025 Intern in the Medical Device Division to join the team and experience hands-on learning and training.
*This position requires working onsite 4+ days per week in our Lake Zurich, Illinois office.
*U.S. work authorization required: Fresenius Kabi will not sponsor work visas or other employment authorization.
*Pay rate is $20.50-$23.00 per hour, depending on completed academic years
*Fresenius Kabi does not provide a housing stipend or relocation assistance for summer internships.
Responsibilities
This position requires working onsite in Lake Zurich, Illinois 4+ days per week.
Assist engineers with daily activities involving functional testing of new or modified components and materials used in blood collection single-use devices.
Tasks include:
- data collection and analysis;
- test protocol and report writing;
- test schedule planning and management;
- creating and organizing engineering specifications, drawings, and supporting engineering documentation.
- Effectively work with cross-functional teams to provide solutions
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum sophomore standing with minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Demonstrated design project experience.
- Detail-oriented with superior organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgement.
- Excellent documentation skills and laboratory practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Biomedical or mechanical engineering preferred.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university program; pursuing a related engineering field degree;
- Must be planning to return to school at the end of his/her break.
- Must commit to 8-10 weeks of internship
