The Intern will be trained to support hands-on product development project while building core skills in CAD, GD&T, tolerance analysis, inspection, prototype review, and technical presentation. They will be guided on Dimensional Managements methodologies and different analysis approach to predict and analyse objectives and challenges in product build. - Build foundational knowledge in GD&T and dimensional control concepts
- Develop skills in locator design and datum flow planning
- Gain experience creating and refining CAD models and Model Based Definition in Creo
- Learn to evaluate design intent, critical gaps, and manufacturability considerations
- Apply tolerance analysis and variation awareness to support design decisions using 3DCS
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into iterative improvements
- Gain exposure to prototype printing, part modification, and rework processes
- Learn basic inspection and measurement workflows using PolyWorks
Qualifications:
- A student from final year M. Tech (M.tech 1st year completed)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A passion for technology and appetite to learn new things with limited guidance.
- Firsthand experience in MS office & visualization of engineering drawings
- Experience in Creo will be a plus.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong visualization skills to interpret problem statements, drawings, and figures accurately.
- Experience with CAD tools (Creo)
- Prior project experience involving Dimensional Management (academic or personal).
- Prior Model Based Definition and/or AI experience is a plus.
