We are seeking an Intern, Data and Analytics to join JMA’s corporate analytics & data strategy team. The successful candidate will be able to assist with the people, technology and processes required to address current and future analytics needs. In this role, the candidate will help ensure that the business in its various departments understands the data landscape and is provided with insight and actionable information to drive performance, identify growth levers, and prepare for the future

Position Responsibilities:

Assist in the analysis and design of data and analytical solutions
Aid in research, development, and implementation of appropriate data strategies, methodologies, and systems that lead to improved business performance and goals
Provide management visibility into data-driven insights and key performance indicators and directly support executive leadership
Work with business analytics specialists outside the IT department and partner with key stakeholders to promote data-driven decision-making
Foster a results-driven analytical culture throughout the organization
Continuously assess JMA’s data landscape and tools against industry best practices
Perform data validation and testing
Work with offshore resources to gain development experience

Required Skills & Experience:

Current studies in Computer Science, Economics, Math, Statistics or related field
Proficient with common data engineering tools, structured and unstructured data management systems
Demonstrated ability to work on cross-functional teams
Skill in planning, organizing, and developing data solutions
Strong Leadership skills and team building skills
Result oriented and fast learner
Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to develop frameworks and solutions to questions and concepts
Ability to work with a high degree of integrity, professional judgment, and management of confidential and sensitive information
·Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities
