Job Description:
This position will report to the Gresham Equipment Engineering Software Engineer. A successful candidate will work independently while taking direction from the Gresham Equipment Engineering Software Engineer.
Essential Competencies:
Must be able to maintain a "Big Picture" perspective
Must be able to understand user requirements and complex manufacturing topics
Provide project updates and write functional and technical documents
Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work independently and in a team to develop innovative solutions
Must be able to work with both a technical and non-technical user community
Use the Microchip tracking systems to log requests, issues, and projects
Follow the Microchip Information Systems policies and procedures on development, project management, and change control
Requirements/Qualifications:
Candidate must be enrolled in an Associate’s degree plan for Computer Science or Information Systems and actively attending college courses relating to their degree plan. Be willing to work at least 20 hours per week but will be permitted to work up to 40 hours while maintaining degree program requirements.
