Intern - Corporate Development (M & A)

Job Summary

We have a great opportunity for a Summer 2025 Intern in the Corporate Development (M & A) Team to join the team and experience hands-on learning and training.
Reporting to Sr. Manager M&A, this role will play a role in the management and growth of Fresenius’s corporate portfolio through organic and inorganic strategic projects.
*This position requires working onsite 3+ days per week in our Lake Zurich, Illinois office.
*U.S. work authorization required: Fresenius Kabi will not sponsor work visas or other employment authorization.
*Pay rate is $19.00-$21.00 per hour, depending on completed academic years
*Fresenius Kabi does not provide a housing stipend or relocation assistance for summer internships.

Responsibilities

This position requires working onsite in Lake Zurich, Illinois 3+ days per week.

• Analyze markets, segments, sectors, companies/assets including startups across all Fresenius business areas and identify targets for inorganic growth
• Prepare pitch documents for management to create alignment and support prioritization efforts related to inorganic targets
• Assist with target asset valuations using various industry-relevant valuation mechanisms such as DCF, NPV, and precedent analysis
• Assist with company target presentations, company research/analyses, and annual M&A strategic projects as needed
• Process/template improvement projects
• Capstone project and output presentation to be aligned with manager post-hire

• This is a visible position within the organization, the intern will interact on a regular basis with Fresenius management teams.
• The intern should be an empowered self-starter who takes full ownership of their work product.
• Will have the opportunity to work in a variety of fields/projects.
• Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to think analytically, innovatively, and strategically with a desire for learning.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student in an accredited college or university program
• Pursuing a degree related to the position
• Completed 2+ years of college education before beginning internship and enrolled in school the semester following your internship
• Must commit to 8-12 weeks of internship
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; the Company will not sponsor work visas or other employment authorization
