Carnegie Mellon University CyLab brings together experts from a variety of disciplines across the university to collaborate on cutting-edge research and educate the next generation of security and privacy professionals. Carnegie Mellon Cylab is looking for an Intern on our Silicon Valley campus. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by analyzing, researching data, preparing reports and other dissemination and outreach materials. As well as attend meetings and participates in various seminars/training classes as needed. 

Starting Pay:

In accordance with the pay transparency legislation set forth by California, the corresponding pay for this position, if placed in California, starts at $19.20/hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes/researches data
  • Prepare reports and other dissemination and outreach materials
  • Attend meetings and participates in various seminars/training classes as needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques, diffusion models and multi-modal (text-vision) models
  • Knowledge of automated testing and debugging techniques
  • Knowledge of autonomous systems
  • Formal methods knowledge is a plus
