We are looking for a motivated Claims Appraisal Services Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in reviewing, writing, and approving auto physical damage estimates, assisting with subrogation demands, and communicating with repair shops regarding repair and supplemental damages. Ideal candidates will have a keen interest in automotive systems and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
Throughout the school year, this position is part-time 20 hours per week based on class schedule and our company’s business hours, which are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This would be an 18-month internship opportunity while the student is enrolled in a college program. During the summer and breaks, the position can be 40 hours per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review, write and approve auto physical damage estimates
- Assists in reviewing photos and estimates from subrogation demands
- Communicate to shops regarding repair & supplemental damages
- Other duties & projects assigned within the Auto Physical Damage Claims department
QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL:
- Pursuing Associate or Bachelor’s degree
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills to handle and prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Proficient with Microsoft 2010 Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED:
- Technical auto experience/knowledge
