The Opportunity
Due to our sustained growth, we are currently seeking a skilled SMP Designer's with hands-on experience on projects ranging from conceptual design to detailed engineering. These position reports directly to the Designer Team Lead and involves working on a diverse array of projects across the Energy, Chemicals and Mineral Processing industries. You'll be involved in the entire design process, from concept to detailed design, with a clear focus on Piping-Mechanical-Structural expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to take an engineering concept and convert it into a 3D design.
- Check drafting deliverables for accuracy, completeness and adherence to design specifications & intent.
- Apply attention and diligence to uphold quality standards, and client requirements, to complete tasks efficiently.
- Create 3D designs from complex, multidiscipline engineering concepts.
- Support continuous improvement of engineering standards, systems and processes
About You
- Up to 7 years of industry experience in mining, minerals processing, energy, and chemicals.
- A strong understanding of relevant Australian standards.
- Experience with projects from conceptual design through to detailed engineering.
- Proficiency in producing 2D design drawings, including plot plans, general arrangements, detailed drawings, and piping isometrics.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D or MicroStation 2D.
- Proficiency in 3D modelling programs, such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Inventor, or REVIT.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Understanding of project budget, schedule and able to communicate engineering deliverable requirements

Skills Required
