What You Will Do:
Act as the System Design lead for pipeline and facility hydraulic design throughout the project lifecycle.
Apply practical system knowledge with hydraulic expertise typically focused on a core field (steady state, transient, thermal). Actively develop your core knowledge and expand into additional areas under the guidance of more senior engineers.
Apply risk management and value engineering principles to deliver fit-for-purpose designs that align with project objectives.
Communicate complex technical topics to technical and non-technical collaborators, adapting depth and framing to support understanding at the project level.
Provide clear technical recommendations and rationale to inform internal decision-making within defined decision frameworks.
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Registered member with APEGA as P. Eng. in the Province of Alberta.
Four or more years of progressive experience in engineering and project management directly related to liquid pipeline and facility design.
Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex problems and contribute to change through technical expertise.
Effective two-way communication capability including excellent English oral and written skills.
Experience with hydraulic modelling, including familiarity with Fathom, PipelineOptimizer, and Synergi Pipeline Simulator (SPS) software, or equivalent software is preferred.
Working Conditions:
Office environment.
Stress levels can be above normal as the work is deadline oriented, highly visible and numerous activities are conducted concurrently.
Infrequent (<5%) travel, possible overnight trips.
