More about our tech?
ezyVet helps veterinary practices save time, increase revenue, communicate better with clients and reduce workload stress. ezyVet’s the tip of the software spear, our main PIMS application, is a single page webapp built and maintained on PHP. React, TypeScript and Redux Front-end and PHP with Laravel 7.x for our APIs. Going onto the platform, we use MySQL 8 for our databases and our servers are all managed through AWS. Utilising docker, terraform and GitLab to rollout and manage our cloud application and its many services. For example, using Redis, DynamoDB, Lambda and Step Functions to provide unique solutions for our applications and internal systems.
SmartFlow is patient workflow software designed to minimize bottlenecks and strengthen clinical processes in a veterinary practice. SmartFlow offers a well-established solution with a single-page AngularJS (soon to be React) web application, complemented by a dedicated iOS native iPad app. The backend, built on .NET, is managed in Azure utilising Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, Docker containers, and GitHub Actions for streamlined deployments. Azure Service Bus is used in an event-driven architecture, with CosmosDB for NoSQL storage and MSSQL for relational storage. Real-time web functionality is delivered through SignalR, and the iPad app is supported by Apple Push.
Vet Radar enhances in-patient workflows, helping veterinary practices improve their clinical processes and deliver a higher standard of care. Vet Radar is a serverless architecture, using a single React-Native codebase to deploy both a single-page web application and an iOS app via Expo. The serverless backend is managed on AWS, with deployments handled by Terraform and GitHub Actions. We leverage a comprehensive suite of AWS services, including Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, RDS (Postgres), DynamoDB, and ElastiCache, to deliver a scalable and resilient solution.
Vello gives everything a vet needs to connect with their clients—all in one place. It streamlines the ways they engage with pet owners with a single experience built for IDEXX PIMS. With software-supported engagement across the life stages of a pet, pet owners become informed partners in care—supporting better health outcomes. Vello is built on AWS with a cloud-native approach. We use Lambda for serverless computing, TypeScript for development, and combines DynamoDB with Postgres RDS for data management. ECS containers handle deployment, scalability & performance.
Our journey is solving veterinary practices’ most pressing needs by focusing on innovation to drive meaningful improvements in animal health.
