Amentum is seeking a Intermediate Counterintelligence Officer to support our U.S. Department of Energy and Counterintelligence (DOE-IN) contract. Positions will be based in the Washington, D.C area.
Responsibilities Serves as Counterintelligence Officer (CIO), specific duties and functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conducting CI/Counter Terrorism (CT) investigations across the DOE complex.
- Works closely with the FBI and the USIC to assist in any ongoing espionage, terrorism, or related operations and investigations at responsible facilities.
- Serve as liaison and interface with DOE facility management and local law enforcement agencies surrounding the assigned facility.
- Provides case-related updates to the Senior Counterintelligence Officer (SCIO), facilities senior management and other DOE CI executives.
- Provides CI/CT defensive briefings and debriefings to Departmental personnel in foreign intelligence and terrorist activities/threats.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college. A Master’s Degree is desirable.
- Ten (10) years of experience as a CI Officer/agent conducting typical CI program activities to include CI inquiries and/or espionage investigations.
- Must have experience as a primary case agent in counterintelligence case management at DOE, the FBI or DOD and must have advanced interviewing and elicitation techniques.
- Individual must have demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and proven ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Must have functional computer literacy, and be proficient in common computer and network applications.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual starting salary for this position is between $140,000-$180,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
