This position plays a key role in advancing AdventHealth’s clinical informatics strategy by providing independent, hands-on support and optimization expertise. This role bridges frontline clinicians, clinical operations, and IT teams to ensure effective system adoption and workflow alignment. The intermediate advocate contributes to enterprise initiatives, supports governance processes, and helps drive improvements in clinician experience, documentation quality, and patient safety across the continuum of care.
Provide independent clinical informatics support to clinicians across assigned facilities, clinics, or service lines.
Resolve moderate to complex EHR-related issues and serve as a subject matter resource for clinical workflows and documentation standards.
Participate actively in enterprise projects, system upgrades, testing cycles, and go-live events.
Act as a clinical informatics liaison to nursing, providers, front office, and other clinicians, addressing workflow concerns and optimization opportunities.
Promote adoption and consistent use of clinical documentation standards, decision support tools, and patient safety features.
Collaborate with training teams and vendors to deliver role-based education, workflow reinforcement, and ongoing system education.
Participate in workflow validation, redesign and optimization initiatives to improve clinician efficiency, satisfaction, and compliance.
Partner with clinical leaders and informatics colleagues to evaluate optimization requests and support system build changes.
Provide informatics support across inpatient, ambulatory, procedural, and virtual care settings.
Serve as a mentor and informal resource to associate-level informatics advocates.
Primary schedule is Monday-Friday, with some night and weekend work is required.
May have on-call expectations and responsibilities to support our clinicians and IT systems, as well as supporting projects, implementations, and downtimes.
Utilize active clinical licensure and frontline clinical expertise to support clinical workflow optimization, promote safe and compliant use of healthcare technologies, and provide guidance on documentation, patient care processes, and operational best practices within the EHR.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred). [Required]
Strong understanding of clinical workflows and documentation practices. [Required]

Proficient in Microsoft 365 office products [Required]

Pay Range:
