The Senior Associate will develop and execute channel marketing strategies that support the firm's intermediary distribution business, with a focus on alternative investment solutions. This individual will serve as a key marketing partner to the Alternatives sales teams, helping drive advisor engagement, support fundraising efforts, and elevate awareness of the firm's alternatives capabilities across broker-dealer, wirehouse, bank, and RIA channels.

Working closely with the broader Morgan Stanley Investment Management Marketing teams, Alternatives Product Marketing and Sales the Senior Associate will lead the execution of alternatives-focused campaigns, communications, events, and sales enablement initiatives while partnering with Channel Marketing colleagues on broader intermediary marketing programs. Experience within intermediary channel marketing is required; alternatives marketing experience is preferred but not required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Channel Marketing partner for the Alternatives business, supporting the marketing needs of the Alternatives sales organization and associated business priorities.
  • Develop and execute marketing programs that support alternative investment strategies and solutions, including product launches, fundraising campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, advisor education programs, webinars, and events.
  • Partner closely with Alternatives Product Marketing and sales leadership to translate business objectives into effective intermediary marketing strategies and deliverables.
  • Create and manage marketing campaigns across digital, email, content, social, and event channels designed to drive awareness, engagement, and demand among financial advisors.
  • Collaborate with other Channel Marketing managers to incorporate alternative investment capabilities into broader intermediary campaigns and sales initiatives.
  • Lead the marketing support and promotion of conferences, roadshows, webinars, due diligence events, and other advisor-facing programs.
  • Manage channel marketing deliverables from concept through execution, partnering with creative, editorial, digital, compliance, and production teams.
  • Develop campaign measurement and reporting frameworks to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Build strong relationships across Sales, Product Marketing, Compliance, Legal, and Marketing to ensure coordinated execution and a consistent client experience.
  • Assist the Channel Marketing team with other strategic initiatives and special projects.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5–8 years of marketing experience within asset management or financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing programs for intermediary distribution channels, including broker-dealers, RIAs, wirehouses, and banks.
  • Strong understanding of intermediary sales and marketing dynamics, advisor engagement strategies, and channel-based marketing programs.
  • Experience with alternative investments, private markets, private credit, private equity, hedge funds, real assets, or related investment solutions preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across sales, product, marketing, and investment teams.
  • Results-oriented mindset with experience measuring and optimizing marketing effectiveness.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $115,000 and $130,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
