About You

We are seeking an experienced Interim Senior Manager, Accounting & Operations for a consultant role during a transitional period in our ITCloud business unit. The position combines senior accounting oversight with hands-on operational responsibilities in revenue operations and billing, while collaborating cross-functionally in a technology/subscription business.

This is a 3-month contract with possibility of extension.

What you’ll do and how you’ll have an impact

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including financial close, general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
• Manage customer invoicing for subscription-based cloud services, usage billing, partner commissions.
• Handle month-end/year-end close, account reconciliations (bank, intercompany, AR/AP), and variance analysis in a high-volume environment.
• Work with IT/tech teams to support the use, maintenance, and targeted enhancements of internally developed software systems, billing platforms, and operational processes for reliable finance and revenue operations.
• Collaborate with Operations, IT/Tech, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting teams to meet operational needs, address issues, and support system functionality.
• Manage revenue cycle operations, including billing impacts from customer onboarding/offboarding, collections, credit, and dispute resolution.
• Assist with tax compliance, and Canadian regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership to a team of 4 in accounting and operations to ensure continuity, efficiency, and effective execution during the interim period.
• Support targeted improvements in automation and processes to reduce manual work and enhance daily operations where opportunities exist.

What we’re looking for

• 9+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial operations, preferably in technology/SaaS/subscription-based businesses.
• Proven experience with internally developed software systems, custom billing platforms, ERP systems, and automation in a tech setting.
• Strong hands-on operational accounting experience across multiple of the following areas: customer invoicing, accounts receivable, recurring/subscription revenue recognition, reconciliations, and cash application in high-volume, transaction-intensive environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and oversee small teams (experience managing a team of 4 or similar size preferred).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with IT/Tech, Operations, FP&A, and corporate accounting teams.
• Experience in cloud services, IT distribution, MSP/CSP models, or recurring revenue businesses strongly preferred.
• Bilingual fluency in English and French (spoken and written) required for Canadian communications.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related; CPA/CA designation strongly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills for a fast-paced environment.
