The Role

Marketing Specialist

Salary: £34,000 per annum pro rata, plus company benefits

Location: 18 Central Avenue, St Andrews Business Park, Norwich NR7 OHR

Contract: Fixed term contract (three months long), part time

Hours: 25 hours per week

Shifts: Monday through Friday from 9am - 5:30pm

Break: 1-hour lunch, unpaid

Work model: Hybrid (flexible; at least 1-2 days in office)

Williams Lea seeks a Marketing Specialist to join our team!

Purpose of role

The Stationery Office (TSO) is recruiting a fixed contract, experienced Marketing Specialist to support the Marketing Director and deliver effective market analysis and marketing activities to enable TSO’s continued growth in the regulatory publishing market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the marketing director on planning and delivering corporate marketing activities to deliver new business opportunities
  • Actively research developments in the regulatory market, providing regular updates
  • Actively research our target organisations to support prospecting activity
  • Setting SMART objectives for all activities, identifying industry benchmarks, evaluating marketing activities and identifying improvements 
  • Co-ordinating TSO’s social media activity including LinkedIn and driving engagement with our target market
  • Creating new content to reinforce the TSO proposition
  • Uploading content updates to the TSO website
  • Organising and co-ordinating online and in person events
  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders across the business, in particular with colleagues in client management and business development
  • Leading on marketing special projects to continually improve our service delivery
  • Act as a role model for the rest of the team to roll out marketing processes
  • Providing plans and content for new business bids and retenders
  • Developing case studies and testimonials from client feedback and information
  • Management of the TSO brand

Key Competencies

  • Experience in creating effective marketing strategies and annual plans
  • Ability to analyse information from a range of sources
  • Campaign evaluation and reporting of results
  • Customer journey mapping and persona creation
  • Developing segmentation, targeting and positioning strategies to inform campaign messaging
  • Experience of managing multiple marketing channels including email, social media, paid search, online resellers, ecommerce, events
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Ability to effectively brief and manage external and internal suppliers
  • Understanding of GDPR and other legal requirements
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written form
  • Project management skills to ensure activities are delivered on time, to quality standards and within budget.

Key requirements:

  • At least 10 years experience in managing marketing activity
  • Degree-level qualification
  • Marketing qualification
  • Digital marketing channel management skills
  • MS 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Presentation skills
