The Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Confidential Credit Union is responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, and risk management. They play a key role in strategic planning, working closely with the CEO and other executives to ensure the credit union's financial health and stability. The CFO also ensures compliance with relevant regulations and provides financial insights to support the credit union's mission and goals. This is a hybrid position located in the El Paso office.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Budgeting: Directing the preparation of operating and other budgets.
- Financial Policies: Developing and implementing financial policies.
- Financial Reporting: Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including compliance with GAAP and NCUA regulations.
- Investment Portfolio: Managing the investment portfolio and recommending purchase or sale of securities.
- Risk Management: Monitoring and reporting on interest rate and liquidity risk.
- Forecasting: Developing and utilizing predictive models and financial analyses to provide insights into operations.
- Strategic Planning: Actively involved in the budgeting and strategic planning processes.
Management and Leadership:
- Executive Team Collaboration:
Working with the CEO and other executives on strategic priorities and daily operations. - Staff Management:
Overseeing financial staff, including accounting, investment, and other financial functions. - Vendor Management:
Managing relationships with third-party vendors and ensuring compliance with contracts. - Compliance:
Ensuring full compliance with GAAP, NCUA regulations, and other relevant rules and guidelines. - Communication:
Effectively communicating financial information to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.

- Insurance: Managing the corporate insurance portfolio and advising on coverage.
- Banking Relationships: Overseeing financing strategies and banking relationships.
- Asset/Liability Management: Overseeing asset/liability management and ensuring financial stability.
