Charles River CFO, Inc. has a need for an experienced, interim CFO for our client while their CFO is on a medical leave. This is a non-profit and remote position.
MUST HAVE: Understanding of GAAP and fund accounting at a strategic level.
Position Details:
- Schedule:20-25 hours per week
- Location: Fully Remote
- Start Date: January 6, 2026
Responsibilities:
- Interim CFO must understand GAAP at a strategic level, must be adept at fund accounting, must be comfortable being part of a team and leading a (2) person inhouse and (1) person contracted team on a day to day basis.
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 10+ years of accounting/finance experience
- CFO experience with non-profits
- Systems used: Sage-Intaact / Bill.com / Expensify
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work
- Adherence to client policies and procedures
- Team-oriented and client-focused approach
