Interface and Integration Manager (Design - Rail)
Dubai, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Integration and Interface Manager to join our team to join their team here in Dubai. In this role you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all design interfaces across disciplines for a major railway project. The role ensures seamless integration between infrastructure, rail systems, stations, and operational environments, supporting the delivery of a fully coordinated, efficient, and buildable design in line with project objectives and standards.
What You'll Be Doing:

- Oversee and manage the Contractor’s development and implementation of the Interface Management Plan and Design Integration Strategy.
- Direct and monitor the Contractor’s identification, definition, coordination, and management of project interfaces across civil, structural, track, rail systems, stations, depots, and operational disciplines.
- Review and approve all Interface Control Documents and related interface documentation produced for the project, ensuring they are complete, technically sound, coordinated, and compliant with project requirements.
- Review and assure the Contractor’s establishment and maintenance of the interface register, ensuring all interfaces are accurately tracked, coordinated, and resolved.
- Coordinate and challenge multidisciplinary design teams to ensure fully integrated, consistent, and compliant design outputs.Ensure effective integration between the metro rail infrastructure, stations, depots, trackwork, rail systems, operational facilities, and supporting utilities.
- Manage interfaces between civil and structural works, trackwork, stations, depots, power supply, signalling, telecommunications, platform screen doors, fare collection, fire and life safety, and other metro rail systems.
- Lead and facilitate interface workshops and coordination meetings involving the Contractor, project teams, operators, authorities, utility providers, and specialist system suppliers.
- Review and manage interface agreements, responsibilities, assumptions, dependencies, and deliverables between all relevant parties.
- Monitor the Contractor’s alignment of design outputs with project requirements, programme, budget, applicable standards, and operational objectives.
- Provide oversight and assurance of Systems Engineering activities, including requirements flow-down, interface definition, verification, and validation.
- Coordinate with Configuration and Requirements Management teams to maintain interface traceability and ensure effective change control.
- Identify, assess, and manage interface risks associated with design development, construction, testing, commissioning, and metro rail operations.
- Lead and participate in design reviews to verify that all interfaces are adequately defined, coordinated, documented, and resolved.
- Monitor the Contractor’s design progress, performance, and compliance, ensuring the timely escalation and resolution of interface issues.
- Review and assure the Contractor’s interface management deliverables, reports, action logs, and performance against contractual requirements.
- Provide technical direction, challenge, and guidance to the Contractor while maintaining appropriate consultant-level oversight and governance.
- Support construction, testing, commissioning, and delivery teams by ensuring that interfaces, responsibilities, and dependencies are clearly defined and understood.
- Verify that interface issues identified during construction and delivery are effectively managed, documented, and closed out by the Contractor.
- Provide regular interface management status reports highlighting progress, risks, outstanding issues, required decisions, and matters requiring client or stakeholder intervention.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from a recognized university. Professional certification or membership in a relevant institute is an advantage
- 15 years of relevant experience in rail projects and/or rail operations (GCC or international experience preferred)
- Proven experience in design integration and interface management on large-scale rail or infrastructure projects
- Strong experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and complex system interfaces
- Good understanding of rail systems, civil infrastructure, stations, and operational interfaces
- Experience in airport integration projects, including coordination with terminal operations and intermodal transport systems
- Experience in Systems Engineering processes and interface management methodologies
- Strong knowledge of design development stages and tender documentation
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
