- Assist with daily and monthly intercompany tasks, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Manage accounting and reporting for Flex and its subsidiaries, including financial transactions such as rent payments, banking activities, and intercompany transactions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of scalable accounting processes, including Transfer Pricing and intercompany reporting, to ensure timely and accurate close processes and external reporting.
- Establish and implement processes to prepare for external reviews, ensuring all documentation and requirements are fulfilled.
- Serve as the main accounting contact for internal and external reviewers, auditors, and licensing authorities.
- Work closely with the legal team to integrate licensing, examination, and review strategies into organizational planning.
- Prepare balance sheet calculations, reconciliations, and analysis for the VP of Accounting’s review.
- Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of all external examination activities related to Flexible Finance and its subsidiaries.
- Take the lead in preparing audited financial statements for external auditors.
- Assist with compliance and regulatory filings on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis by supporting the close process for each period.
- 6+ years accounting experience in financial and/or start up environment
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Bachelor's degree (BA) in Accounting.
- Active CPA License
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and handle adverse and urgent situations with rapid changes in priorities.
- Strong Excel and consolidation skills
- Strong PC background with working knowledge of ERP and financial systems.
- Proven time management and project management ability.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Desire to work in an exciting, start-up environment that encourages individual growth and excellence.
This is a hybrid position with on-site expectations of 3 days per week in our New York Headquarters.
The compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
The base salary pay range will be $120,000-$130,000
