The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for an Interactive Training Software Designer to work at Ft. Eisenhower, GA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Warfighter Readiness mission. The Interactive Training Software Designer uses instructional design principles and technology to create engaging and effective digital learning content and experiences. This includes designing interactive activities, developing e-learning modules, and collaborating with others to deliver high-quality learning solutions. Must be capable of maintaining TS/SCI.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop engaging e-learning modules and online courses: This includes creating interactive digital content and experiences.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts: Ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the training content is crucial.
- Utilize learning management systems (LMS): Uploading, organizing, and delivering content through various platforms.
- Create multimedia elements: This might involve designing videos, graphics, and animations to enhance the learning experience.
- Conduct needs assessments: Determining the learning objectives and content requirements is a key first step.
- Test and troubleshoot: Ensuring functionality and usability of the e-learning courses is important.
- Incorporate feedback: Continuously improving and refining course content based on feedback.
- Stay updated on e-learning trends and technologies: This role requires an understanding of both pedagogy and technology to create effective and enjoyable learning experiences.
- Create assessments and evaluations: Measuring learner outcomes is essential for assessing the effectiveness of the training programs.
- Provide technical support: Assisting learners and instructors with technical issues related to the platforms and courses.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree with 4 or more years of directly related experience or Masters degree and 2 or more years experience.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret w/SCI security clearance within 1 years from start date.
- Experience: Experience in e-learning or instructional design is usually required.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools: Familiarity with tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software is important.
- Understanding of instructional design models: Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories is crucial for effective content creation.
- Multimedia skills: Experience with multimedia design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud may be needed.
- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Project management skills: The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines is important.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Being able to analyze data and user feedback to improve content is essential.
- Adaptability: The ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment is a valuable trait.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret w/SCI security clearance
