Program Overview

GDIT delivers critical all‑source intelligence on foreign military and civilian cyber actors, their supporting infrastructure, and the broader ecosystems in which these capabilities operate. This intelligence directly supports foundational military intelligence (FMI) requirements for the joint force and ensures alignment with the mission portfolios.

On this program, GDIT provides a broad range of analytic and mission‑enabling support to produce operationally relevant FMI and scientific and technical intelligence (S&TI) for cyberspace operations. Our support is not limited to analysis; we engage across the entire intelligence cycle—planning, collection, processing, exploitation, production, and dissemination—while also executing integrated mission management functions.

All support is focused on enhancing the customers’ ability to enable both defensive and offensive cyberspace operations.

Position Overview

Job Requirement: Intelligence Planner

This is a senior‑level position designated as a key role on the contract, responsible for leading Intelligence Planning efforts and ensuring integrated, mission‑focused support to Combatant Command operations. The selected individual will serve as a central planning authority, shaping critical intelligence inputs, coordinating cross‑functional activities, and driving the alignment of Defense and National intelligence capabilities within the joint planning framework. Because of the importance of this role, high‑performing candidates with proven expertise, strong initiative, and the ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a complex operational and intelligence environment are strongly desired.

The Intelligence Planner provides critical expertise to integrate Defense and National intelligence capabilities into operational planning activities across the Department of War. This role enables effective incorporation of collection, analytic, and targeting functions into campaign planning, deliberate operations, crisis response, and time‑sensitive planning. The Intelligence Planner supports Combatant Command (CCMD) requirements by contributing to red teaming efforts, feasibility assessments, and the full range of planning activities governed by the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES). Working closely with analysts, managers, and senior leaders, the Intelligence Planner helps develop coordinated intelligence assessments and ensures the Center’s contributions are fully aligned with CCMD priorities and Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) standards.

Responsibilities:

• Integrate Defense and National intelligence capabilities—including collection, analysis, and targeting—into overarching DoW operational planning efforts.
• Support campaign plan development, deliberate planning, crisis management, and time‑sensitive planning in accordance with JOPES.
• Assist with red teaming and intelligence operations feasibility assessments during the planning process.
• Develop, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of the Center’s intelligence support to CCMD planning activities.
• Collabora with analysts, managers, and senior leadership to produce intelligence assessments responsive to CCMD requirements.
• Participate in all phases of the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP), including mission analysis, COA development, COA wargaming, COA comparison, COA approval, and plan or order development.
• Provide input across all planning functions—from interpreting strategic guidance to concept development, detailed planning, and plan assessment.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to develop intelligence annexes for operational plans.
• Apply working knowledge of JOPP, JOPES, and Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX) formats and guidance to all planning activities.

Education and Required Experience

• Master’s degree with 12 years related experience or bachelor’s degree with 17 years’ experience.
• Clearance: TS/SCI with active poly

The likely salary range for this position is $124,093 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
