Reports to: Direct Manager: MOW and ABAC I&C Officer

Location: Slough, UK 

SUMMARY

The I&C MOW Business Unit/ Function Advisor, will be responsible for supporting, managing, and enhancing Indivior’s MoW implementation of the Indivior Global Integrity & Compliance Program (healthcare compliance (HCC) focus). This includes but is not limited to establishing clear policies and offering pragmatic, solutions-oriented guidance to the EUCAN Area Business and program support to the AUA I&C Officer to help ensure compliance with applicable international, regional, and local country laws, regulations, and industry codes. Split between EUCAN responsibilities & support to the AuA I&C Officer will be 85:15.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Act as a role model and promote Indivior Guiding Principles and Values-based culture through relevant activities, trainings, and corporate events
  • Support the development, maintenance and evolution of healthcare compliance policies, procedures, and controls, at both regional & local affiliate level, in collaboration with internal stakeholders, to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and industry codes and alignment with relevant global policies and procedures. 
  • Partner with affiliate/regional employees and Compliance Champions to maintain and further develop a strong culture of integrity and compliance, including embedding personal accountability at all levels in the organisation, with a spirit of collaborative partnership and positive problem solving.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of regional and local affiliate level transparency reporting requirements and assist business leadership in meeting reporting obligations.
  • Develop and implement healthcare compliance training program on regional and local affiliate level policies in appropriate language, along with monitoring completion of training and training records management.
  • Execute routine and risk-based monitoring of relevant business activities and related policies and procedures in line with annual regional/affiliate compliance monitoring plan that is based on annual I&C Risk Assessment & Mitigation Plan (RAMP) outcomes.
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and assist in the development and implementation of corrective action plans as necessary, while continuing to educate stakeholders on relevant risks to drive effective risk awareness and application (“RiskIQ”).
  • Manage, develop, and train Compliance Champions Network members for the region, including chair, participation, and management of regularly scheduled Compliance Champions Meetings.
  • Stay abreast of changes in pharmaceutical industry compliance standards for the purpose of assessing and adopting changes to existing MoW Area Business healthcare compliance policies and SOPs.
  • Support reviews/investigations into allegations of misconduct, as required
  • Support implementation of Indivior Global Integrity & Compliance Program initiatives e.g., RAMP, MonitorMate, International FMV Tool, etc.
  • Report compliance concerns to the MoW & ABAC Integrity & Compliance Officer.
  • Carry out other tasks and activities related to the development, execution, and maintenance of the MoW Area Business’ implementation of the Indivior Global I&C Program.
  • Other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time in the company’s discretion.

KEY CHALLENGES

  • Ensuring compliance across a wide geographic region with country variances
  • Providing pragmatic approach to deliver solutions in a commercial environment within a compliance framework
  • Implementing and driving compliance from regional to country level understanding within global framework of Indivior Code of Conduct
  • Productively managing a variety of key priorities simultaneously, with effective prioritization skills
  • Ability to influence without authority.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

  • BA (Hons) or BSc (Hons) 2.1 or above, educated
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in either the pharmaceutical or medical device industry including a minimum of 3 years in a regional healthcare compliance role
  • Detailed understanding of the ABPI Code and preferably EFPIA and working knowledge of IFPMA Code
  • Experience working in multiple MoW countries and knowledge of applicable country-specific regulations a plus
  • Experience with Transparency Reporting requirements and     
  • Strong project management skill set and a consistent driver of the change management process
  • Willingness to develop skills and knowledge base to incorporate subject areas in the Indivior Global Integrity & Compliance Program
  • Ability to travel up to 20% - European, some occasional international
  • The role is office-based, with a requirement to be in the office three days per week: Tuesday-Thursday
