Hi 👋, I’m Kat :) when I joined Ashby two and a half years ago to lead Partnerships, we had less than a hundred integrations. Today, we have over 300, thanks to exceptional work from Hannah to take us from 0 to 1, our Product Managers, and our Engineers. As our integration ecosystem continues to grow, we’re looking for someone to take on Integrations as a full scope, including building out our integration ecosystem for new products (like People Workflows).
As the Integrations Lead, Partnerships, you’ll report directly to me and be responsible for owning our integration partnerships across inbound, outbound and account management, and being the technical liaison for our Product Managers and Engineering team.
This is a highly cross-functional role that requires strong communication and collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Product, and Marketing. You’ll have the opportunity to be on the front lines of trending HR Tech by speaking to inbound partners and guiding them on the best practices for developing their use case against our APIs.
Success in this role looks like maintaining a strong sense of ownership over the partner experience and prioritizing how we can be helpful, while being direct and clear about our customer-first mindset. You’ll take over account management for our larger partners, like ADP, and find ways to continue improving how companies integrate with Ashby.
What you’ll do
Own the inbound integration lifecycle
Own inbound integration requests from qualification through launch and ongoing maintenance, using judgment about customer value, product fit, technical feasibility, partner commitment, and Ashby’s priorities.
Guide partners through the process—from NDA and sandbox access to API documentation, onboarding, testing, and launch—while choosing the right balance of async and live collaboration.
Set clear expectations, keep work moving, and close the loop thoughtfully when an integration is not the right fit or a current priority.
Connect partners, Product, and Engineering
Serve as the technical and commercial liaison across integration partners and Ashby’s Product, Engineering, Product Operations, Support, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing teams.
Translate partner and customer needs into clear requirements, tradeoffs, and next steps, and help determine the right path: native build, partner-built integration, connector, unified API, or future roadmap opportunity.
Help partners navigate API concepts such as authentication, endpoints, webhooks, data mapping, and workflow design, while bringing sound judgment to design-partner and enterprise requests.
Own how integration knowledge reaches Sales, CS,and Support, so teams feel well versed on current and upcoming integrations.
Own quality, launches, and strategic partnerships
Coordinate integration reviews and launch readiness with partners and Product, including workflow validation, feedback, security considerations, configuration, documentation, assets, and Marketplace publication.
Maintain the external integration directory and partner-facing resources, and partner with Marketing and Product Marketing on launch communications, enablement, and ongoing updates.
Manage larger integration relationships, working with Enterprise Sales, Customer Success, and Product to understand customer needs, enterprise opportunities, design-partner requirements, and roadmap implications.
Represent Ashby externally in partner discovery, technical scoping, roadmap conversations, launches, and post-launch feedback loops.
Optimize current integrations when updates arise, coordinating scope with Project Managers and aligning with partners and internally.
Improve the operational foundations for scale
Keep HubSpot and related partnership systems current with partner context, status, ownership, timelines, and customer or prospect demand.
Improve swim lanes, handoffs, SLAs, documentation, reporting, and support paths as you operate the program.
Automate high-frequency, low-variance work while preserving human judgment for qualification, prioritization, quality review, and strategic relationship management.
Work directly with the knowledge base team to build out systems for keeping integration documentation up-to-date.
About You
We think the ideal person for this role will have experience and skills that look something like this:
You’ve worked at the intersection of partnerships, product, technology, and customers—in integration or platform partnerships, technical program management, product management, solutions architecture, implementation, or a similar role.
You’re technically fluent enough to understand APIs, authentication, data flows, webhooks, sandboxes, and integration tradeoffs. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable asking precise questions and learning how systems work.
You bring strong product and business judgment: you can distinguish between an interesting request, a customer problem, a strategic opportunity, and a commitment Ashby should make.
You communicate clearly and write well. You can build trust with partners, set expectations, give direct guidance, and turn messy conversations into crisp requirements, decisions, and documentation.
You’re operationally disciplined and improvement-minded. You can own a high-volume workstream, create structure in ambiguity, automate repetitive work, and follow through across teams.
You care deeply about the customer experience and can work effectively across Product, Engineering, Support, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and external partners.
You like building the system, not just running it. You're drawn to finding a problem, scoping it, and proposing a solution, and you don't assume the current way is the right way just because it's what exists.
This role probably isn’t right if…
You want a role focused only on strategy or relationship development; this role includes hands-on technical, operational, and documentation work.
You’re uncomfortable with technical detail, difficult prioritization decisions, or direct conversations about fit and expectations.
You prefer an established playbook or a single-function role rather than building structure across teams.
You dislike writing, async communication, proactive follow-up, or representing Ashby externally.
You are unable to work across time zones or travel occasionally for partner and team moments.
You get overwhelmed by your inbox. This role requires timely follow up and holding a high bar for timely communication.
You dislike being on calls or you’re uncomfortable leading a meeting that includes customer leads, partner leads, and Ashby Product Managers.

Ashby Insights
What We Do
Ashby helps scaling companies achieve their ambitious growth targets. With Ashby, teams of all sizes can run a fast and efficient hiring process. Trusted by companies including Shopify, Snowflake, Notion, Zapier and Reddit We’re convinced there’s a lot of room for improvement in not just recruiting tools but people tools and, in general, how software products are built. There are two parts to this: the quality of the product and how the product is made. Let's start with outputs. We are continuously disappointed about the state of software products today —software should be more intelligent, powerful, and doing much more for us. Today, most business software is still a simple database with few delightful and truly helpful features. We also believe that productivity in software engineering hasn't increased nearly as much as it should have. Part of that is the lack of building blocks that can be reused across features and applications. The other part is how teams are organized and managed. We aim to innovate in both areas. Outside of the domain we're building for today (people software and, more specifically, recruiting software), Ashby is also an experiment in how fast a team can build great products over many, many years.
Why Work With Us
We have published our operating principles on our blog - they describe how we work at Ashby. They cover how we aim to run projects, spend time and make decisions. Beyond that we also look for specific attributes in new hires. Humble, Empathetic, Curious, Driven, Reliable, Transparent, Honest, and don't take themselves too-seriously
