As the primary technical escalation point for the integration practice, you will drive engineering standards, champion API and integration patterns, influence platform investment decisions, and collaborate with Architecture, Security, Product and Engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable and high-quality integration outcomes.
Platform Health & Governance: Own the configuration, security, access governance and operational health of the integration platforms and AWS API Gateway, proactively identifying risks, driving compliance with standards, and partnering with key stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable and high-performing integration services.
AWS Hosting & DevOps Practices: Own the technical implementation of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code and deployment practices for integration solutions on AWS, ensuring secure, reliable and cost-effective delivery while driving automation, operational excellence and platform best practices.
Integration Standards & Quality: Drive engineering excellence across the integration practice by establishing and enforcing coding standards, quality controls and code review processes. You will lead the evolution of integration engineering standards, oversee API design governance, ensure compliance with versioning, authentication and documentation requirements, and champion secure development practices, including ownership of OWASP SAMM compliance for integration-layer APIs.
Mentoring & Capability Development: Lead, mentor and develop a team of integration developers through technical coaching, code reviews and capability uplift initiatives. You will identify skill gaps, support succession and workforce planning with the Practice Manager, and play a key role in the ongoing transformation and maturity of the integration practice.
About you:
You are a hands-on integration leader with deep expertise in MuleSoft, Confluent Cloud/Kafka and AWS integration technologies. You have a proven track record designing and delivering API-led, event-driven and file-based integration solutions, with strong experience building production-quality MuleSoft applications, Kafka producers and consumers, and managing APIs through AWS API Gateway.
You bring a strong engineering mindset, with experience establishing coding standards, code review practices, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to deliver secure, scalable and reliable solutions. Comfortable operating in complex enterprise environments, you have a solid understanding of infrastructure as code, secure development practices, API governance, authentication standards and OWASP principles, and are passionate about driving engineering quality and continuous improvement across teams.
Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, EventBridge and CloudWatch, as well as familiarity with C#/.NET services and API development, will be highly regarded.
