Job Description:
Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and supporting Azure-based integrations—primarily using Microsoft Logic Apps—to connect internal and third-party systems through secure, reliable APIs and data workflows. This role partners closely with product and engineering teams and contributes to operational stability through monitoring, incident resolution, and clear documentation.
Key Responsibilities ·
Design, develop, and support integrations using Microsoft Logic Apps (Azure Integration Services).
Build, consume, and maintain RESTful APIs to enable secure system-to-system communication.
Develop and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and data operations to support integration scenarios.
Monitor integration workflows and proactively address failures to maintain availability, reliability, and performance.
Partner with product, engineering, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into integration designs.
Implement data mapping, transformation, and validation across source and target systems (e.g., JSON/XML payloads).
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues end-to-end, including API, data, and workflow failures, within defined SLAs. Apply security and operational best practices (e.g., authentication/authorization, secrets management, least privilege) across integration solutions.
Create and maintain technical documentation for integrations, APIs, and workflows in Confluence.
Required Technical Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have-
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Logic Apps (Azure Integration Services). Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and common methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE).
Proficiency in SQL Server (queries, joins, indexing, performance tuning). Experience working with JSON, XML, and common data transformation techniques. Working knowledge of API authentication and authorization (e.g., OAuth 2.0, API keys, bearer tokens).
Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and error handling patterns for integration workflows.
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
Preferred / Additional Skills Experience with the following is a plus:
Experience with related Azure services (e.g., Service Bus, Functions, API Management).
Knowledge of integration patterns and data movement concepts (e.g., messaging, ETL/ELT).
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for deploying and versioning integrations.
Exposure to cloud integration architecture concepts (e.g., resiliency, idempotency, retry policies, throttling).
