Purpose of the Role
The Integration Engineer delivers high-quality Ericsson cloud infrastructure solutions for CN Cloud & Common customers. Responsibilities include requirement analysis, configuration, implementation, validation, upgrades, migrations, expansions, and integration of Ericsson NFVI and CNIS, including network and application functions.
The role is data-driven and value-oriented, aligned with Ericsson processes, E+OHS, information security, and contractual obligations, ensuring smooth handover to operations and customer teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, upgrade, migrate, and expand Ericsson Cloud Infrastructure per approved designs.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during deployment and integration.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and teams to integrate Core Network VNFs/CNFs, OSS/BSS, and orchestration components.
- Analyze requirements and design documents for estimates, planning, and delivery.
- Conduct testing and acceptance, documenting all artifacts.
- Serve as technical interface with customers during delivery and acceptance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation like Low-Level Design and Test Procedures.
- Engage with Product Development via JIRA and Salesforce for product issues.
- Enhance methodologies, tools, automation, and workflows.
- Share lessons and expertise with peers and junior engineers.
- Ensure compliance with Ericsson processes, directives, legal, financial, E+OHS, data security, and privacy standards.
- Available for business trips, on-site work, workshops, troubleshooting, and overnight tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's in Telecom, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3-5 years in cloud infrastructure integration, preferably telecom or IT.
- Experience with Ericsson NFVI, CNIS, or similar OpenStack/Kubernetes telco cloud platforms.
- Customer-facing or service delivery project experience preferred.
- Hands-on telco cloud platform experience in installation, upgrade, migration, expansion, validation, testing, and operations transition.
- Knowledge of distributed cloud, virtualization, container orchestration, SDN/storage, and automation.
- Familiarity with SDI/SDS, Ceph, and hardware ecosystems like HP/Dell is a plus.
- Strong IP networking skills including L2/L3, VLAN/VxLAN, routing, VRRP/Anycast GW, ACLs, QoS, data center fabric, and Kubernetes networking.
- Linux administration and troubleshooting across Ubuntu, RHEL, SUSE, CentOS.
- Proficient in Python and Bash scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with CNFs, VNFs, and telecom network architectures.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, log analysis, and root cause investigation.
- Clear communication and collaboration in cross-functional, multi-country teams.
- Proactive, responsible for complex tasks, and committed to continuous improvement.
