WhiteSky Communications, A RealPage company, is an innovative managed services and telecommunications company that was established in 2005. Whitesky partners with student housing, luxury apartments, hotels, adult living, and assisted living/hospitals to provide bulk Internet services.

To meet the logistical demands from the continued growth of WhiteSky Communications, the Integration Engineering team needs an Engineer to stage, turn up, and test equipment to ensure on-time completion of WhiteSky installations

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Stage and configure network devices (including routers, switches, data plans, etc.) for site installations and test to verify all devices are working properly.
• Create network design concepts and packages including bill-of-materials (BOM)
• Turn up, test, and troubleshoot various types of circuits including EPL, Wavelength, etc.
• Document and certify network installations.
• Interact with various inter and intra-departmental peer groups to achieve the best results in all assigned tasks cooperatively.
• Meet project time frames and budgets work well cross-functionally and be able to multi-task when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
• Must have demonstrated operating system proficiency, including Mac OS X and/or Windows 10.
• 3-5 years of experience as an individual contributor within a service provider Network Architecture or Network Engineering group
• Write maintainable, efficient, and well-documented code using engineering best practices.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• CCNA or Network+ Certifications is a plus
• Must be self-driven with an initiative to solve issues, propose and create new methods, and acclimate to changing times.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication skills.
• Must have an affinity for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment.
• Desire and ability to remain up to date with the latest industry trends.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
