Position Title: Integration Commissioner /Tester Telecommunications
SUMMARY
To represent Ribbon as an Integration Engineer (Commissioner /Tester) to perform Integration and Customer Acceptance testing of a wide range of Ribbon products. This position will focus on deploying and integrating Telecom networks through the use of Engineering specifications and design documents. This role fulfils services sold and include, but are not limited to, Configuration, Integration, Test, Migration and Solution validation.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete all projects as per the scope of the defined Sow’s, (statement of work) within the budgetary constraints as defined by provided hourly budgets.
- Ensure quality of project delivery, ensuring that the project tasks are performed adhering to approved practices using approved documentation.
- Deploy to customer site to Perform Commissioning and Integration of installed Ribbon products as defined by Installation Methods.
- Configure and test products and network as, defined by
- Network Specifications and Logical Design provided by the Network Engineering team.
- Apply applicable configuration to the switches and products as dictated by Customer and Network Requirements.
- Provision from GUI or CLI Integrate into Customer Networks as designed and required by Customer/Network Engineering expectations.
- Troubleshoot and work with support to resolve product issues.
- Complete Test & Verification test plan as defined by installation Methods and Engineering Test Plan.
Travel:
- The work is predominantly East Coast based on customer site and is performed during maintenance windows
- High mobility and flexibility required
- Travel can be up to two weeks in duration. With a periodic weekend trip home every 2 weeks
- While some work is performed remotely, Travel can consistently be as high greater than 50%
- Will be required to work off normal business hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ideally the candidate should be based in the East coast area
- Self-motivated individual able to learn quickly, with strong communication skills
- Must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively work with others.
- Candidate must be driven to achieve results while maintaining deadlines
- Unix/Linux/Solaris knowledge and skills.
- Scripting knowledge and demonstrated use.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- US Citizen
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of applicable telecommunications experience
