The Role
The Insurance Verification and Financial Arrangement Coordinator is a full-time, 12-month staff position and may require remote-onsite as needed. This position will be responsible for verifying and determining the eligibility of insurance coverage for clients. This role involves working closely with our credentialing manager, insurance providers, healthcare professionals, and clients to ensure accurate and timely insurance verification of HPU Health clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree or relevant certification preferred.
Experience and Training:
- Proven experience in insurance administration, healthcare, or a related field is advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
- Communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and clients to gather and verify necessary information.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Assist patients with inquiries regarding their insurance coverage and eligibility status.
- Resolve discrepancies and issues related to insurance eligibility and coverage.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records and documentation related to insurance eligibility.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing of insurance-related transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Insurance Verification and Financial Arrangement Coordinator is directly answerable to the Credentialing Manager of HPU Health, Oral Health Network. Their performance is evaluated based on the insurance verification data entered daily to ensure operational efficiency and financial performance across HPU Health practice sites.
