Sompo has a unique opportunity for an Insurance Technical Analyst in our Insurance Operations team on a fixed-term basis until 30 June 2027.
Our Insurance Operations team plays a critical role in delivering excellent and cost-effective support services to Insurance Operation Team Heads and other relevant stakeholders. We focus on areas such as risk and exposure recording, insurance premium accounting, underwriting management information, and internal cyclical and ad-hoc reporting to drive business success.

What you’ll be doing:
- Contribute to operational team plans and determine work priorities to achieve team objectives.
- Support Sompo’s Insurance segment procedures and controls for managing contractual risk information, premium accounting, and underwriting records.
- Deliver reports such as exception reports, performance data, and regulatory-focused documentation to meet business obligations.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide effective services while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support and guide offshore teams and ensure alignment with Underwriter expectations.
What you’ll bring:
- Relevant knowledge of (Re)insurance customs, practices, and procedures, with a sound understanding of (Re)insurance concepts.
- Working knowledge of company systems and strong proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with excellent organizational and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, managing conflicting priorities effectively.
- Broad-based (Re)insurance experience, preferably with Lloyd’s market exposure.
- Degree-level education (or equivalent) and progress toward insurance qualifications such as CII Dip are beneficial but not essential.
