Job Title: Insurance Sr. Product Consultant
Location: United States
Workplace Type: Remote

Job Summary

The Sr. Product Operations Consultant owns and leads a defined portfolio of product initiatives from inception through completion, with a primary focus on countrywide and multi-state product rollouts. This role is accountable for project execution, documentation standardization, launch success, and the ongoing measurement and improvement of how projects are delivered.

Working as a peer alongside the Product Operations Manager, the consultant serves as a key ideation resource and collaborative partner for state product managers, helping shape product concepts and translating them into the documentation, requirements, and processes needed for successful execution across multiple jurisdictions.

This individual is self-directed, highly organized, and committed to tracking project performance and continuously improving how initiatives are planned, executed, and launched — always looking to make each project run better and faster than the last.

What You Will Do As A Insurance Sr. Product Consultant

Lead Product Initiatives from Start to Finish

  • Own the full lifecycle for an assigned portfolio of product projects, including countrywide and multi-state rollouts, from early-stage ideation through launch and post-launch review

  • Serve as the accountable lead for project timelines, deliverables, and milestones, managing competing priorities across multiple concurrent initiatives

  • Lead launch readiness efforts to ensure all teams, systems, and documentation are prepared before products or changes go live, and monitor performance in the period following launch

  • Collaborate with the Product Operations Manager as a peer partner on standardized processes and ways of working, contributing to a consistent operational framework across product initiatives

Partner with State Product Managers

  • Serve as a key ideation resource for state product managers, helping identify product opportunities, refine concepts, and shape ideas into actionable initiatives

  • Work closely with state product managers to ensure all required documentation is in place prior to rollout and support their ability to adapt standardized materials to meet state-specific regulatory and market requirements

  • Build collaborative, peer-level relationships with state product managers across the organization, providing expertise and continuity across product programs

Standardize Documentation and Business Requirements

  • Develop and maintain standardized product documentation frameworks that state product managers can efficiently adapt for their specific markets, ensuring consistency and completeness across all state programs

  • Work alongside the Product Operations Manager to apply standardized business requirement frameworks to assigned initiatives, ensuring requirements are complete and meet established standards before submission to IT

  • Translate product concepts and state-specific program details into well-structured requirements that technology teams can efficiently implement, and partner with IT to support smooth handoffs

  • Continuously improve documentation templates and business requirement standards based on feedback from state product managers, technology teams, and lessons learned from prior rollouts

Measure Performance and Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track key performance metrics for each assigned project, including milestone adherence, timeline variances, launch timing, and post-launch effectiveness

  • Use performance data to identify recurring bottlenecks, gaps, and opportunities to cut implementation timelines and improve how future projects are planned and executed

  • Collaborate with the Product Operations Manager to incorporate process improvements into standardized frameworks that benefit the broader product operations function

  • Build institutional knowledge around what makes product rollouts successful, continuously raising the bar on execution quality and efficiency across the project portfolio

What You Will Bring As A Insurance Sr. Product Consultant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Actuarial, or a related field; advanced degree a plus

  • 4+ years of property and casualty product management or product operations experience, including demonstrated experience leading multi-state or countrywide product rollouts

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to independently own and manage multiple concurrent initiatives from start to finish, including tracking milestones, timelines, and post-launch performance

  • Experience developing standardized documentation frameworks and applying business requirement standards for technology teams, with a track record of driving continuous process improvement

  • Solid understanding of homeowners and dwelling fire insurance products, underwriting processes, state-specific filing requirements, and regulatory environments such as ISO

  • Strong ideation and product thinking skills, with proven ability to collaborate as a peer with state product managers, technology, compliance, and cross-functional business partners

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, uncover gaps, and translate findings into actionable improvements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; highly organized and self-directed with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results independently

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project) and analytical or reporting tools
