Position Overview
The Insurance Sales Producer Protégé is a full-time, in-office role responsible for selling personal and small commercial insurance products, building client relationships, and meeting new business production goals. This role combines hands-on sales experience with formal training and mentorship through the Farmers system.
Key Responsibilities
· Present, explain, and sell insurance policies based on customer needs and risk profiles
· Prospect and generate new business using agency-provided leads, referrals, and outbound outreach
· Build and maintain strong client relationships through consultative selling and follow-up
· Meet or exceed assigned new business and production goals
· Participate in ongoing sales training, coaching, and mentoring
· Maintain accurate client and sales documentation in agency systems

· Sales, product, and marketing training through the agency, district office, and University of Farmers

Qualifications
· Active Texas General Lines Property and Casualty license required
· Ability to obtain Texas General Lines Life, Accident, Health, and HMO license within 45 days of hire
· Prior sales experience preferred, insurance experience a plus
· Strong communication, relationship building, and closing skills
· Competitive, self-motivated, and coachable mindset
· Ability to work a full-time, in-office schedule Monday through Friday
· Must pass a background check, including state, federal, and county criminal history

· Base salary plus commission on new business

Physical & Work Requirements
· Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer, on the phone, or in meetings
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, by phone, and through electronic communication
· Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, phones, and printers
· Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds occasionally, such as files, a laptop, or marketing materials
