Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Underwriting Product Counsel to join our Insurance Product team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in cyber and professional liability insurance to develop and manage policy forms, coverage enhancements, and manuscript endorsements. You will collaborate closely with underwriting, claims, and legal teams to ensure our products meet market demands while aligning with regulatory standards. This position will drive strategic initiatives to enhance At-Bay’s market presence and support profitable growth.


How You'll Make an Impact in 3 Months:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of our current insurance products and their positioning in the market.
  • Establish relationships with key internal stakeholders across Underwriting, Claims, and Legal to facilitate effective collaboration.
  • Begin evaluating existing policies and endorsements, identifying initial opportunities for updates or enhancements based on market trends and feedback.


How You'll Make an Impact in 6 Months:

  • Lead the development and launch of new policy forms and coverage enhancements that address emerging risks and client needs in the cyber and professional liability landscape.
  • Implement a structured approach to managing the policy form library, ensuring timely updates and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and resources to underwriting staff, enhancing their understanding of policy language and improving their ability to respond to client inquiries.


What You've Already Accomplished:

  • Demonstrated expertise in cyber and professional liability insurance, with a proven track record of developing and implementing insurance products from concept to launch.
  • Successfully managed complex insurance transactional matters and provided strategic advice to senior business partners.
  • Cultivated strong relationships within cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication to achieve business objectives.


Location:

  • 1 Post Street, San Francisco
  • Hybrid work model with two to three designated in-office days per week


Our estimated base pay range for this role is $165,000-$185,000 per year. Base salary is determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to market data, location, internal equitability, domain knowledge, experiences and skills.
