LWCC is seeking an Insurance Intern for a cross-functional learning experience spanning key workers’ compensation insurance departments – Claims and Policyholder Services (PHS). The internship is designed to help a student understand how insurance, specifically workers' compensation, works as an integrated system, from evaluating and servicing a policy to responding when a workplace injury occurs. Through structured training, job shadowing, hands-on assignments, and exposure to multiple departments, the intern will see how Underwriting, PHS Operations, Premium Audit, Safety Services, Claims Teams, and Claims Operations work together to serve Louisiana businesses and injured workers.
The intern program will run from June 8 - July 29, 2027. The program is Tuesday - Thursday, 8 am - 4 pm at LWCC's office (2237 S. Acadian Thruway, Baton Rouge, LA).
