About the Role: 

Anaplan is looking for an Instructional Designer to join our Anaplan Academy team. We are looking for a learning professional that’s innovative, curious, and a great collaborator. This individual should be passionate about delivering an exceptional learning experience in a fast-paced environment driven by ongoing innovation. The role will report to the Director of Curriculum Development, responsible for designing and developing learning experiences for technical learners that include Professional Services, delivery partners, and customers. The role will work across the Academy team, as well as partner across the organization with teams such as Product, Engineering, and Innovation Readiness & Excellence. Our ideal candidate is learner-centric in their approach and is experienced in using AI to accelerate instructional design and curriculum development workflows. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design modular learning experiences that are high-quality, interactive, and effective spanning on-demand and facilitated experiences 
  • Develop engaging learning content such as videos, interactive simulations, and hands-on experiences aligned to the Anaplan brand 
  • Build relationships across the organization and effectively partner with subject matter experts to design and develop learning experiences 
  • Prepare train-the-trainer materials and lead train-the-trainer efforts to transition finalized content to the delivery (facilitation) team 
  • Learn the Anaplan platform and stay up to date on the latest innovations, including earning and maintaining various Anaplan certifications and credentials 
  • Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of the instructional design and curriculum development workflow to drive successful delivery of the learning experience 

Your Experience: 

  • 5+ years of instructional design and curriculum development experience 
  • Proven application of learning theories, including adult learning theory and cognitive load theory, to training design and development for software/technical products 
  • Experience working with content authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, and Synthesia 
  • Proven ability to effectively use AI agents to accelerate instructional design and curriculum development workflows (experience creating AI agents is a plus) 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages stakeholders and tasks across multiple projects, and thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
