Opportunity


We are looking for an Instructional Designer who is hungry to accomplish our mission to help people thrive in life and work and contribute more in a rapidly changing, technology-driven world. Headquartered in American Fork, UT, BrainStorm is evolving the way organizations adopt new technology and, as a result, is unleashing the potential of software. Instructional Designers play a central role in researching, designing, championing, and monitoring the learning experiences that populate our industry-acclaimed SaaS software adoption platform. 

Responsibilities

  • Designing, coordinating the production of, and assembling engaging and effective learning experiences that address specific software behavior change goals.
  • Developing solutions informed but not limited by currently understood learning, change, and instructional methods and practices, while contributing to the discovery of the “next practices” in adult learning and software adoption.
  • Collaborating with, learning from, and consulting teams internal and external to BrainStorm on how to be the best at aiding organizations (via their users) to use technology as they should.
  • Managing and coordinating multiple initiatives at a time, staying agile and being responsive to the changing needs and priorities of the business. 
  • Analyzing data to continuously improve the quality, integrity, and success of our processes, product, and experiences.
  • Being a good human – willing to make friends, inspire and lead, learn from others, do hard things, and genuinely care about and lift those around them.

Qualifications

  • A passion for unlocking the potential of end-user software, creating learning experiences that lead to behavior change, and challenging the status quo of adult learning.
  • Experience in designing learning experiences according to targeted learning objectives.
  • Understanding of learning and/or change management theories and methodologies.
  • The ability to thrive in ambiguity, manage time effectively, work independently, be self-motivated, manage multiple projects, and be highly detail oriented .
  • Interest in innovating approaches to enhance customer, learner, and company success.
  • The ability to independently identify problems, design projects to research and solve them, and the ability to execute to the finish line.
  • An ability to be scientific and academic to establish the “next practices” in adult learning, software adoption, and change.
  • A bachelor’s degree and, preferably, 1–3 years of professional experience.
