Serves as a staff member in the Pupil Services Department. Provides support to Resource Specialist Teachers and assists assigned schools with IEP compliance.

Functions
Essential Functions
- Provides guidance, assistance, and technical support to Resource Specialist Teachers, including
- but not limited to: instruction; curriculum; room environment; scheduling; IEP writing; academic assessments; behavior support plans; service tracking; data collection; and response to intervention.
- Coordinates and implements staff development activities for Resource Specialist Teachers and other school staff members in collaboration with Curriculum Specialists and Pupil Services staff.
- Conducts assessments for specialized referrals; reviews and evaluates new and revised test instruments and assessment models; and reviews assessment reports submitted by Resource Specialist Teachers.
- Reviews IEPs for compliance and assists with monitoring the implementation of IEPs.
- May attend school-site IEP meetings as needed to provide input regarding curriculum, instruction and inclusion strategies.
- Assists with coordination of specialized programs and services.
- Attends and participates in regularly scheduled Celerity Curriculum Specialist meetings.
- Attends and participates in regularly-scheduled coordinator-level SELPA meetings.
- Assists with monitoring service tracking records, compiling compliance reports and preparing for special education compliance reviews.

- An earned Master’s Degree in a related field (eg: Curriculum & Instruction, Special Education)
Certifications:
- Required
- NCLB
- Added Authorization in Autism Spectrum
Experience Required
- At least two (2) school years of successful full-time service in a certificated position as a Resource Specialist Program Teacher in a K-8 school.
Credentials Required
- A valid Clear California Education Specialist Instruction Credential.
Preferred
- A valid Clear California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with English Learner authorization.
SIGNING BONUS NOTICE: This position is eligible for a signing bonus, paid for in two installments in January and July. Eligibility for each installment requires active employment with ISANA on the payment date. Signing bonuses may be prorated based on start date or unpaid leave status and are subject to applicable taxes. Employees who separate from ISANA prior to the end of a bonus period will not be eligible for that installment.
PAY RANGE NOTICE: The posted pay range represents the full range for this classified position. Final placement is contingent upon verification of prior experience through completion of the required Verification of Experience (VOE) form. Credit for prior experience requires having worked at least 85% of the applicable employment period.
