The nonprofit evangelical ministry space is rapidly moving toward outsourcing its investment function and GuideStone Investment Services was created to serve this need in the evangelical Christian market.

This position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your networking skills and investment expertise to drive growth and build meaningful relationships within GuideStone’s niche market. You will be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to serving the financial needs of evangelical ministries, helping them achieve their goals through faith-based investment solutions. Your work will directly contribute to the positive impact these ministries have on their communities and beyond.

Who Will Excel in This Role

The ideal candidate for this role is a dynamic professional with at least 5-8 years of experience in business development, particularly a seasoned expert seeking their final career opportunity. You are a person of great integrity, mission-driven, and a solid business driver who thrives on navigating complex sales interactions and developing exceptional relationships.

Why This Opportunity

At GuideStone, you'll be part of a culture that values integrity, heart, and skill. Our commitment to excellence has earned us the 2024 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, recognizing our innovative approach to employee engagement. GuideStone’s Investment division, manager of the nation's largest faith-based mutual fund family and a sophisticated universe of alternative investments comprising more than $23 billion in assets under management, offers a unique opportunity to help ministries with comprehensive investment solutions. You'll have the opportunity to work with a team that is passionate about making a positive impact on the world through faith-based investing.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow assets under management for GuideStone’s institutional OCIO advisory business.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional prospects, understanding their investment needs and offering appropriate solutions.

  • Represent GuideStone at industry events and conferences to enhance our market presence.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.

  • Develop marketing content for the OCIO business.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.

  • Master's degree and/or CFA preferred.

  • At least 5-8 years of experience in business development, but ideally a seasoned professional looking for a final career destination.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across an institutional database.

  • Strong understanding of investment products and services.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to travel as needed, approximately 50%.

  • Must be an active member of an evangelical Christian church.
