About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Institutional Investment Operations Specialist
In this role, you will:
  • Participate in lifecycle support tasks for institutional trade initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements
  • Assist leadership in bringing individual or teams together in order to resolve complex issues
  • Assist in client account onboarding, input and monitoring of cash payments, customer service, project support, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation, as well as, work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issue
  • Provide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives
  • Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain reconciliation solutions using Xceptor.
  • Support onboarding of new reconciliations and enhancements to existing processes.
  • Build and maintain automated data ingestion, transformation, matching, and exception management workflows.
  • Partner with Operations, Technology, and Business teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
  • Support audit, compliance, and documentation requirements.
  • Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and control enhancements.
  • Identify key issues, risks, trends, and improvement opportunities and communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Participate in project delivery, testing, implementation, and post-production support activities.
  • Provide production support and knowledge transfer to Operations teams.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in Xceptor development and support.
  • Experience building reconciliation workflows, matching logic, exception management, and reporting solutions.
  • Understanding of Capital Markets/CIB Operations and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Business, Operations, and Technology partners.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, Python, VBA, or similar automation/reporting tools.
  • Understanding of trade lifecycle and financial markets products.
  • Experience with process automation and operational control frameworks.
  • Exposure to audit, regulatory, and risk management initiatives.
  • Detail-oriented, results-driven, and able to work in a high-demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Open to supporting APAC, EMEA, and US business requirements, as applicable.
