Wells Fargo is seeking a Institutional Investment Operations Specialist.
In this role, you will:
- Monitoring real-time trade activity, exceptions, and cancels/corrects for trading desks. Example: Blotter checks, T0 queue monitoring and real time resolution, Markitwire trade affirmation & dispute resolution & FINRA TRACE monitoring.
- Performing key trade life cycle functions such as Trade affirmations, allocations & Trade validation, producing key metrics & varied reporting.
- Resolution of trade fails and management of RTTM (Real time trade matching) trade exceptions
- Investigation & resolution of trade & position exceptions from FOBO(Front office to Back office) reconciliations, Internal & external reconciliations for OTC & Listed Derivative asset class
- Perform daily Profit and Loss reporting, attribution reporting, analysis of Pnl breaks between systems
- Perform daily reconciliation of Profit and Loss with finance and system of record
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of derivative products, particularly on Fixed income and Mortgage Securities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Collaborate with all business partners and various departments, create efficiencies and mitigate risk for team and organization
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexity
- Demonstrates a high degree of reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness in all areas, foster teamwork
- 5+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Perform daily Profit and Loss reporting, attribution reporting, analysis of Pnl breaks between systems
- Perform daily reconciliation of Profit and Loss with finance and system of record
- Perform daily reconciliation of unrealized PNL, realized PNL and marketing fee between system of record and Front Office
- Understanding of market data, ex: Curves, Vols. Experience in processing/ saving market data.
- Responsible for documenting and maintaining standard operating procedures for PNL Team
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of derivative products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Collaborate with all business partners and various departments, create efficiencies and mitigate risk for team and organization

- University degree/Post graduation in Business /Accounts/Economics/Stats.
- 2+ years of experience in the Middle office, risk and Pnl in any asset class, commodity experience is preferred.

- Any degree or certification in financial instruments ex: FRM OR CFA Level 1 /2
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, use of Pivots, Logical formulas, any macro or programming is desirable
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of loan, securities, and derivative products
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Analyst should have strong numerical and analytical skills, strong articulation and out of box thinking.

Skills Required
- 5+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Fixed income, Mortgage Securities, and derivative products
- Understanding of capital markets and trading environment in a middle office/risk role or supporting a derivative trading desk
- Knowledge of Daily P&L attribution and reconciliation with finance and system of record
- Excellent knowledge of financial products: Bonds, OTC & Listed derivatives, structured notes
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, and strong communication skills
