Wells Fargo is seeking a Institutional Investment Operations Associate
In this role, you will:
  • Provide operational and customer support for lifecycle tasks for institutional trades
  • Assist with client account onboarding, input and monitoring of cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, asset servicing structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation and work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issues
  • Assist in gathering data to support resolution of issues
  • Receive direction from manager and exercise judgment within defined parameters of the area while developing understanding of various functions, policies and procedures
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ months of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experiences should include familiarity with Investment industry and practices in the Financial Services industry as well as operational delivery experience
  • Analytic thinker who likes to solve problems with strong attention to detail
  • Analyst should have strong numerical and analytical skills, strong articulation and out of box thinking.
  • Good problem solving, analytical and numerical skills
  • University degree/Post graduation in Business /Accounts/Economics/Stats.
  • 6+ months of experience in the institutional Investment Banking Operations especially in FX Spots, FX Options, FX Forwards ,FX swaps
  • Working knowledge of the either of functions ex: Middle office Operations, Product control, trade & sales support, trader/sales assistant.
  • Good understanding of Middle office controls, daily risk & PnL
  • Willing to work in US Shift. Coverage upto 17:30 EST
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and time constraints
  • Strong communication skills
Job Expectations:
  • Candidate will be expected to work closely with the Middle Office LoBs in US and broad Operations functions. Some of the key functions would be a) Exception management through various reconciliations, b) Queue monitoring, c) performing trade affirmations, allocations & validation, d) producing key metrics & varied reporting.
  • Candidate shall be able to demonstrate good understanding of financial products and key regulations impacting the financial markets.
  • Support the lifecycle of Institutional trades while managing a FX product ( FX Spots, FX Options, FX Forwards ,FX swaps covering the following functions; T0 Blotter checks, PNL Attribution review, Internal Trade reconciliation, FX Positions reporting to Front office, Markitwire/Risk systems vs CLS reconciliations , Monitoring PB Matching & net link matching in external systems, Supporting Trade allocations.
  • Perform daily Profit and Loss reporting & attribution reporting
  • Perform daily reconciliation of unrealized PNL, realized PNL and marketing fee between system of record and Front Office
  • Responsible for documenting and maintaining standard operating procedures for PNL Team
  • Perform other ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Demonstrate good understanding of financial products & middle office controls.
  • Knowledge of key regulations impacting the financial markets ( Dodd frank)
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Collaborate with all business partners and various departments, create efficiencies and mitigate risk for team and organization
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexity
  • Ability to accurately process high volumes of work within established deadlines
  • Demonstrates a high degree of reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness in all areas, foster team work

Skills Required

  • 6+ months of Institutional Investment Operations experience
  • Experience with Markitwire and CLS reconciliations
  • Knowledge of key regulations impacting financial markets (Dodd-Frank)
  • Ability to accurately process high volumes of work within established deadlines
  • Demonstrates a high degree of reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness
  • Familiarity with investment industry practices and operational delivery experience
  • Analytical thinker with strong numerical and problem-solving skills

  • Working knowledge of middle office operations, product control, trade & sales support, or trader/sales assistant functions
  • Good understanding of middle office controls, daily risk and P&L
  • Willingness to work US shift (coverage up to 17:30 EST)
  • Strong communication skills
